Au Revoir Simone - Tell Me (Clock Opera Remix) Lyrics

Places exist
For times like this
I never need them
I never need them
Places out there
There’s magic everywhere
I never need them
I never need them
For if, just when I notice it
And it seemed, just ignored
Farther out, just when we need this
And it seems, is this just me
For if, just when I notice it
And it seemed, just ignored
Farther out, just when we need this
And it seems, is this just me

I never need them

I never need them

For if just when I notice it
And it seemed, just ignored

Farther out, just when we need this
And it seems, is this just me

For if, just when I notice it
And it seemed, just ignored

Farther out, just when we need this
And it seems, is this just me

Is this just me

Is this just me

Bassdrive Windows Phone 7 Mango (WP7) App

When I got my Windows 7 Phone a few months ago, I started playing around with a few things to see what it could do and what the SDK was like. A little while later I was listening to Bassdrive and I thought I’d see how quickly I could make an app similar to the iOS version I use on my iPhone. I spent an evening on it at first, a few months ago now and tonight I’ve just got around to finishing it.

Don’t expect anything too good, as I did it for fun in a few evenings, but with something as basic as an app that streams a single radio station it’s the content that matters most (as long as it doesn’t crash).

The app is currently being reviewed by Microsoft, so hopefully it will be available soon. When it has been accepted it will be available to download here.

I have also made this page so I can post some more details on the app, as it doesn’t work if you have a proxy set in your Cellular APN.

Here is a screenshot…

This app is unofficial and logos, etc. are used with permission from Bassdrive.com

Free Spotify invites

I’ve been a paying subscriber of Spotify since it launched here in the UK. I get invites each month and haven’t used any since you stopped needing one to subscribe here in the UK. Anyway, because of this, I’ve ended up with a around 50 invites going spare. I gather they’re still fairly hard to come by in the States.

Here are a few:

Bassdrive - Drum & Bass Internet Radio

I’ve been listening to Bassdrive.com, which is a Drum & Bass Internet radio station, on and off for a few months, but this week I’ve almost not  stopped listening to it. I wanted to write a post about it as I think it’s the most consistently high quality Internet radio station I’ve ever come across. Unlike other stations, which just play recorded sets or an automatic playlist, Bassdrive have DJs around the world playing live shows throughout the day and night. Right now I’m listening to a DJ in Venezuela. They also have bassdrivecam.com, where you can watch the DJs in their studios and bassdrivearchive.com, where you can listen to archive sets. If you listen to Drum & Bass, you should definitely check it out!

This is the first down-tempo mix I did. I’d done a lot of house and one or two drum & bass mixes before this. I made it as just before Christmas 2001 and got a designer mate of mine to make a cool cover for it, so I could give it as a present to a load of people. I also shared it via file sharing networks and am amazed at how many people downloaded it. It still gets scrobbles on last.fm and I’ve had people play it to me that had no idea that it was me that made it. It’s about 10 years old now, but I still like it.
